Monitoring and Evaluation: A How-to Handbook for Grassroots Women's Organizations

The Huairou Commission Land and Housing Campaign, in collaboration with Women's Land Link Africa (WLLA) launched a new hot-to handbook on monitoring and evaluation for grassroots women's organizations. The third Annual WLLA land academy underlined the importance of monitoring and evaluation to grassroots groups as an essential process for "learning from their one experience, sharing their good practices and challenges, enhancing their plans and strategies, and for informing their future decisions".

 

The Land and Housing Campaign seeks to:

  • Increase voice and visibility of women so they can CLAIM land and housing
  • Facilitate opportunities for knowledge building and sharing to encourage grassroots women to GAIN land and housing
  • Enhance the capacity of grassroots women to hold stakeholders accountable and to increase grassroots women’s participation in decision making in order to MAINTAIN their land and housing
