Combatting Violence Against Women in the Customary Courts of South Sudan
The Haki Network has recently released a report on a Haki study looking inside the administration of justice for gender-based violence cases in customary courts of South Sudan.
"Violence against women is an epidemic in conflict-affected societies worldwide; impunity for its perpetrators a black eye for domestic and international justice. Protection and prosecution is, however, complicated. Violence is often cloaked by ignorance and disputes settled according to restorative customary practices." - Haki Network
